When I first met the Consig team, they were deep into their tenure at the Plug and Play accelerator. I had just wrapped up my stint at Verint and wasn’t sure yet what the next chapter would be. I flew down to Orlando and left a few days later with my mind buzzing with ideas.
The first thing that impressed me was – here’s a bootstrapped start-up that already has paying customers and meaningful traffic. So many start-ups forget to focus on sales from day one. The other thing is the sense of purpose from founder RJ Burnham. I recommend his post “My Vision for Consig”.
After spending December talking to investors and customers, I decided to join the team full time. I’m going to be leading the efforts to build a sales and marketing team. It’s exhilarating to be back in “build mode”!
Consig is a voice automation platform focused on the problem of "patient outreach". We help care teams connect with patients by phone, improving completion while reducing the load on staff.
Consig uses Voice AI for the repetitive outreach loop: connect, authenticate, engage, then handoff to humans when needed. The system orchestrates all the dialing/pacing, messaging, compliance/disclosures, and telco plumbing (watch the demo).
To boil it down: Consig is the easiest way to get patients on the phone.
I plan to start blogging again -- along with my colleagues -- about conversational AI, outbound calling, compliance, BPOs, health tech, and the progress of the company.
