RJ Burnham, CEO of Consig, shares how the company sharpened its mission after a pivotal end to 2025: using Voice AI to automate patient outreach while keeping humans in the moments that matter.

My Vision for Consig

The final months of 2025 were a whirlwind at Consig – we finished the Plug-N-Play accelerator program, launched two new deployments and added several key team members. Over the holidays, we used the down-time to review all the feedback. We came out of the break with a much clearer focus on the mission.

What is Consig?

Consig is a voice automation platform focused on the problem of "patient outreach". We help care teams connect with patients by phone, improving completion while reducing the load on staff..

Consig uses Voice AI for the repetitive outreach loop: connect, authenticate, engage, then hand-off to humans when needed. What this means practically is the full stack required to deploy quickly and scale reliably: dialing/pacing, messaging, compliance/disclosures, and the telco plumbing.

Why healthcare?

I’m focused on healthcare because the gap is obvious and personal. I’ve lived it as a patient and as a parent: great care, then missed calls, delayed follow-ups, or confusion after you get home. Care teams want to close those loops, but they’re buried. There simply isn’t enough staff to reach everyone consistently. Voice AI can take on the repetitive outreach work and bring a human in the moment it matters.

That’s the mission at Consig: help healthcare complete more conversations that matter.

Why this matters

Healthcare is filled with phone calls --  over 6 billion a year, by our estimate --  many still dialed manually or with out-dated software. The specific task of patient outreach is a common pain-point across healthcare.

Consig combines the latest AI capabilities with an automation platform built for healthcare conversations to streamline these workflows. The result is less time wasted on dialing and voicemail, and more capacity for patients who need a human touch.

What’s Ahead

We came out of holiday break with a renewed sense of purpose. You may have noticed a website refresh. The team and I will be fleshing out the vision above in the coming months on the site and in the blog.
